We believe nurturing children to become creative, compassionate and service-oriented leaders is one of the highest forms of service! So here at World Art Poetry, a 501c3 non-profit organization, our mission is to empower children through art to express themselves, build confidence and increase literary skills. We have programs that uses poetry to build phonemic awareness and storytelling skills. We're passionate about serving our community and we're emboldened with a worldwide reach creatively! Warm & Dynamic Community
We have a diverse team of compassionate staff and volunteers led by the award winning poet and tv journalist Regena also known as Sonray. We provide a warm community that offers healing while providing services filled with enrichment from a highly qualified team. This allows us to advocate in the local and global community to work directly with the people we serve; helping them blossom into inspiring leaders!
Education Through Art
Our students are learning about environmental concerns and writing beautiful poetry to connect and educate. Our current initiative-"Soaring Butterflies" empowers students to use the butterfly as a metaphor of their goals and the role they play in the environment. This initiative is part of our mission to build the next generation of 21st century leaders and artists.
Empowerment Through Art
Statistics indicate when children are engaged in creative expression, their test scores and social skills increase! We use art integration and digital art as catalysts to empower children to learn about climate change, recycling, ways they can protect the environment! Through our N.I.C.E. initiative, children are planting seeds across the country. We offer sessions in person and enriching sessions online.
